Teacher sends obscene video to girl student, held

BOKARO: Suraj Kumar, a teacher of a private school here, has been charged with sending obscene videos and chats with a Class 8 student on Tuesday night. When the family members of the girl student came to know about the incident, they along with the locals, gathered at the school on Wednesday morning demanding handing over the teacher to them and removal of the principal.
The guardian of the student said, “The teacher engaged in inappropriate acts and wrote indecent messages to the girl late at night.It is shameful on the part of the educator.” Other parents said with such misconduct, they are now having concerns about sending their children to the school. The school principal assured that appropriate action would be taken against the teacher. She added that the teacher has been removed from his post with immediate effect and further action would be taken based on the findings of the police.
When the situation at the school became chaotic, personnel from Lalpania, Gomia, Mahuatand and Jageshwar Vihar police stations along with BDO Kapil Kumar and circle officer Sandeep Anurag Topno rushed to the institute to bring normalcy. They later manage to calm the protesters and Lalpania police took the teacher into custody for further investigation.
